I hate to say it, but the weather we've been having lately seems to mirror the emotions of GMU students. They fluctuation between sunny and rainy weather coincide perfectly with the fickle hormones and feelings of most of the people I've been coming across lately on campus. Although I still support my own hypothesis on the reason of recent "bitch-ness", Mason has its own ideas on what is causing this phenomenon.

New research suggests that there is a subset of socially anxious people who act out in aggressive, risky ways — and that their behavior patterns are often misunderstood. Photo by Ian Kahn

Since the wonderful, yet now annoying, snowpocalypse (or whatever dumb name you gave your FB photo album, has crippled the student population and has now left us to drag ourselves to the finish line of the spring semester. But in the end... whatever, I'll do better next semester, right? Plus, at least I haven't had a day like this lately, apparently, "it" actually is a crime.

The way these officers really reminded me of the way I recall being treated by local Fairfax and Mason Police. Ever been treated unfairly or like an infant child by any of these conniving characters? Now I am a strong believer and supporter of civil service, but i think people given that type of power constantly overuse such power and react incorrectly to situations (especially situations dealing with slightly stoned or drunk college students on weekend nights). I do appreciate a little action in ending the new market for trading Books for Meth. I guess all I'm ranting about is how i wish we could all spend a little more time understanding, rather than making an assumption.
Assume the position

You know what they say when you assume...

But alas, relating to someone is one of the hardest things a person can do. As this is my first entry though, in hopefully an invigoratingly creative endeavor, please feel free to make the attempt to relate to my thoughts, critiques, and most importantly, my opinion. I don't really care about changing or making up any of your cold and stubborn brains, but only hope to give you a little perspective from someone who isn't you, but just may think like you.
